It would be safe for all colors (including metallic) because regardless of what color your car is, it will have a layer of clear coat, which is the part the 3M spray actually bonds to.

Another question to those who sprayed the 3M clear bra. Do you also spray the BMW log in the front bumper and the grill also? or should I cover them before spraying? I should not spray the headlights right?

I'm gonna go with XPEL clear bra.
I've seen this is real life and it's great. 10 yr warranty and won't yellow. |

That's kinda expensive, and I am so anal about leaving my car to the shop, sometimes they could leave a scratch by accident I just bought the 3M clear spray, will let you know how it goes.
