2011 vs. 2012 Z4 sDrive35is

I am seriously looking into purchasing a Z4 sDrive35is but am wondering if there will be any significant changes in next year's model. Anyone have any advanced details to share in that regard? The Engine Start/Stop functionality would be great to have but it seems like BMW is only putting this on various 1 and 3 Series models currently.

"When accelerating in the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, the disciplinarian feels the added torque and beef decidedly at average and aerial agent speeds."

Sounds like the article has been autotranslated from German to Chinese to English.

Yep, both pretty crappy links! I'm guessing not much change from MY11 to MY12, certainly from an exterior point of view anyway.

I had heard that there will be some updates to the iDrive software (something to do with Blackberry's & email/text to voice playback).

Also, not sure if the N55 engine ships with MY12 or not?

EDIT: Actually this link is pretty useless, has nothing to do with cars, somewhat funny!

I thought BMW were introducing the advanced iPod Touch/iPhone integration into iDrive aka 'ConnectedDrive' from next year? ie MY 2012 ('real year' 2011)

As discussed in this thread

Haven't heard anything for sure, but likely that means there's no n55 for MY 2012.

As mentioned above, BMW announced new interface software/apps for apple, eliminated the Y cable and compatibility with certain Blackberrys.

If you lived in Japan you could get a bi-color special edition

"Combox" is the new idrive capability you're refering to. Also plays music over Bluetooth and accesses iTunes artwork from iPhone on the screen, as well as displaying texts and emails from blackberrys.

Hoping to retrofit this to my 2009 Z4 35i.

Yeah i got this iphone link to play music over bluetooth. It's ok but I prefer to just use a USB to store 320kbps or WMA lossless to play music. Just out of interest, the upgraded sound system in the Z4 is very intolerant of low bitrate/quality music.

+1 Alext. Low bitrates & using preset equalizer settings built-in to most PMP players, including iPhones, iTouches etc absolutely make the system sound horrible.

Get those bitrates up to 320k and turn off any equalizer settings on your PMP and the sound will be huge improvement.

Not sure, but I sense just a twinge of Austro-Hungarian as well.

Is this possible, if you follow the link i posted, someone in the thread stated that it won't be retrofit-able?

Is it already in new Z4's rolling off forecourts today?

Collected my new 3.5is three weeks back, has iPod integration, Bluetooth audio etc all in there , highly unlikely any changes this year.
New drive takes software updates through USB too
