DCT Whine Anyone?

So I've had a new DCT in my 35i, been in there about 3000 miles now (edit: Car has 18Kmiles total on it).

The other day, when the car was fully warmed up, on a private track I did a number of runs to 130MPH.

I noted at each run, when revs were at around 4K to 5K a fairly audible transmission whine.

I couldn't be certain if this was diff or DCT but it was notably there, and at 100MPH to 120MPH at WOT (Gear D7) it was, as you'd expect, audible for the longest (several seconds) before revs rose higher and the sound faded.

Any thoughts? Car is under insured warranty now (over 3 yrs old) so I don't want to take this in unless serious.
