I'm in an E92 M3 coupe and I pine away for the Z4M that is never coming. I parked next to one the other day and it would be nice to have a 2-seater M car again.

Carbon fiber fixed roof with the S65 OMG!

That Italian company did a nice job on a coupe Z4. BMW you missed the boat on that one.

could not agree more on the coupe - my first BMW was a 2000 M Coupe and I still regret selling it

if BMW made another I would buy it for sure

So the current Z4 isn't good enough for you and you chose this particular thread to tell us about it?

I'm struggling to find the love.

I think he is just lusting after a Z4 GT3 - who could blame him? $500k will buy you one.

Took my car in for service the other day and parked the freshly washed z4 by itself at the end of the mall parking lot, came back someone had thrown a fairly full cup of Starbucks onto it because the cup was still sitting on the car against the wipers. People

You are being much too generous calling these cretins 'people'.
They are jealous bastards that will never get ahead in life because they think everybody owes them something.

All the Love - I took the Z out for a hill country drive today and parked briefly to take in the scenery. The car from the back is very low, wide, and sinister. You do not get that from pictures. Curvy and very athletic with wide tires (265/35).

I went to the Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern US car show today. The parking lot attendant ushered me to park in the front row because he said I had such a beautiful car.

btw - I was in Sport+, as I do often, shifting with the paddles on curvy roads; it really is hard to beat for fun and real sportiness. I am running the e89 on Michelin PSS and this absolutely transforms the car.

I was sitting in a parking lot today looking at some documents, and noticed a car stopped a few spaces away with a woman trying to get my attention. I lowered my window, and she told me she just loved the car, it was absolutely lovely. The woman???? Was probably 70-80 years old. LOL.... I couldn't believe she would have (a) stopped to tell me this, being elderly and I would have thought concerned with talking to strangers, and (b) she would have appreciated the Z4. Alas, I didn't offer her a spin. I was too concerned with her brazenness to not know what move she might put on me next......

I experianced something very similar in the fall of 2009 when I purchased my first Z4 30is. I took her to a local car show here in Southern Ontario. As I entered and was about to park her they told me to put her on display the fellow said "This is a lovely car and should be shown not just parked"

Here I was among cars all 30 years older then mine (that is the rule at that place anything less then 30 years old must have approval to be in the car show). See the picture below she looked kind of lost, still got many lovable comments like ... Nice car, real nice, lovely car, such smooth lines etc, etc, it was a fun outing.

Damn! I was there on Sunday only, but I didn't see any other Z's in the parking area.

Yes, Sunday. I tagged along with the Eastern PA group of the ZSCCA. We parked as a group in a grassy field and took a quick shuttle to the grounds. Catch you next time!

I do love my Z4. This is my first BMW, and test-driving my Z4 was the first time I'd ever even driven a "bimmer". Just amazing!

I've had it in for service twice now, and have gotten loaner vehicles (335i and 328i) and not to bash those vehicles...but I seriously don't understand the 3 series love. To each his own!

I also like the fact that after 3 weeks of owning my 2011 sdrive35i, I've yet to see another E89 on the road...

Really? Not for me, my Porsche gets a lot more compliments.

Everyone that's seen the Z car loves it, although I do know a few that aren't a fan

It's because you have a Z3. ..and if you have an old 944 in great condition no doubt it will get more attention than a Z3. The basis for comparison on this forum would be the 2009+ Z4 and a Boxster/Caymen/911.

I love the 911 - my favorite all time car. However, she will not let me sell the Z and buy a 911 because we live in Austin, and here 911s are everywhere, literally a dime a dozen. So, my wife prefers her Z4 as it is a very rare car in this town. We have seen two or three others in the year we have lived here. Now, if I offer up and Audi R8 she will trade the Z in a heartbeat - she thinks that is the best looking car ever.
