Hitch for bike rack

Does anyone have experience is getting a hitch installed on a 35is?

I am interested in the following hitch because it is hidden behind the bumper but after discussing with the company they are not certain it will fit because you need to cut into the bumper / rear diffuser. The hitch will fit on the standard M bumper.

I've installed the oem receiver from getbmwparts. Had to cut into the bottom portion out of the bumper cover on my 30i. It is out of view unless you get underneath the back end. I then attached a X3 2" receiver instead of the Z4 oem platform rack because of its unnecessary bulk & cost. I then use a Thule 2 bike platform rack into the 2" receiver.

Do you have details / part numbers of the hitch you installed?

Also, any chance you can provide pictures of the install and the cutout in the bumper please?

82712349499 Part # for the click on cross member that the receiver attaches to. The rear bumper cover needs to be removed for this to be put on. Basically an aluminum bar is replaced with a steel member for a sturdier base. Templates for cutting the bumper are included with this.

82712349502 Part # for 2" receiver

Thank you so much for the information and the hitch looks great. I am not sure it will work on my Z4 as it has a rear diffuser.
