Question: VOLK RACING TE37
I'm looking to buy a set of Volks for my 2011 Z4 E89. I'm looking for the most aggressive offset that will give me that deep concave set up. What size / offset will I need to run to achieve this without any modifications / rubbing etc?

What do you mean with "without any modifications / rubbing etc"?
If you are ok with slight modifications of the plastic wheel housing (easy to do by yourself), you can install a much more agressive offset. W/o any modification, the oem 9J 19" IS40 (e.g. 296-rims) with 12mm spacers and 265/30 wheels already rubbed a bit at the plastic housing (theoretically = +17mm = 9J ET23, because of the wider wheels). With the modification of the plastic wheel housing, even 9,5J IS20 (=9J IS13,7) would fit. I made the test with my 9,5J IS32 wheels with 255/30 and 12mm spacer discs full diagonal entangled (=spring-deflected), which is required by the german technical approval authority. It was still according to the regulations: But this was too much in my opinion. For me, 9,5J IS27 looking best. Please do not use my figures as standard ones! Every car is different and has tolerances. In addition, every wheel camber is different. |

After doing a fair share of measurements, 18x9 et31 square seemed to be the best for this car. front was pretty maxed out, rear still had a fair share of room. but a 10.5 seems way too much if I remember our measurements correctly (it has been some time though) and these were on 18s… 19s are even more aggressive.

You can't really go deep concave without fender mods. I had some te37 18x10.5 +15 on my evo x and had to roll the fenders slightly but I was slammed. The wheel well of the z4 isn't too friendly (compare to other cars) of wider te without a little modding. But concave is all relative. Good luck. I seen a z4 with some 19" all around. Didnt get a chance to ask for specs.
