Engine swap

I have a 2010 3.0 N52 6 speed Z4. I've upgraded suspension to M3 specs. Car only has 11k miles so its like new. I'm now looking at getting more power. Has anyone swapped an N54 turbo engine from a 335i into a Z4? Will the transmission bolt up? I'm most concerned about the computer and wiring harness. There is no reliable source for a Z4 harness wiring schematic. I'm assuming fuel pump would have to be changed. Would I have to add return line to tank. Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.

Do your research. Quick look shows clutch, tranny, and differential are different.

I looked at after market aluminum one piece flywheels and clutches and applications cover 335i and Z4. I looked at realoem for part number differences but no way to tell if Z4 transmission will bolt to 335i block. I'd be shocked if bolt patterns were different. If engine bolts up to transmission drive shaft and differential are not a problem.

My reference to above was between the N52 (3.0) and the N54 (35 series). Clutch, tranny are the same 35i z4 to 335. Believe the diff has different mounting point. Not sure drive lines are the same. N52 tranny and differential have different ratios.

There is a Z4 with N52B30 in my garage, too. Forget the swap, there is an easier way (I went thru) - making the diff "shorter" by some 17% (OEM 4.29 replaced with Drechsler "hill climb" gear ratio of 5.00) + LSD (Quaife), resulting in faaaaantastic driving fun afterwards - now it runs somewhere in N54 range but with no blower inside...
