I ordered LUX H8 1st of April and received them today. They do not fit without modifications. The heatsink does not fit nicely between the two screw housings, and there are two plastic guides below the lamp which are even closer than the screws.

I spent maybe a half an hour slimming the heatsink a bit and cutting away the plastic guides. Even then, the o-ring is bit too thick or rigid and I had to use a tool to twist them in place.

The brightness is about the same as with stock lamps, but less noticable in the daylight since the led does not create color contrast like the yellowish stock lamp.

Here's the car in the evening sun. Sorry about the phone camera and dirty car, but that's the best I can do right now.

Sounds almost like there was no modification made for the e89.

very disappointing news! Is there any chance you received the unmodified (for e89) version? have you contacted the maker of the part to report your findings?

I wouldn't know. They were out of stock until April so I it should be the new one.

No, but he (likely) has posted to this thread and should pick it up.

My experience is the same as tot

Does not fit without modding the xenon H8 housing.

Don't know what to do now.
