Rear trunk struts - replaced
More so for reference later, just had my trunk struts replaced.
Now, the trunk lid will stay up 15 inches from closed. Measuring from trunk seal (bumper side) in the center up to the lid |

Any picture ? Since several weeks, my trunk does not close anymore - I need to troubleshoot and/or go to the dealership after the holidays to understand more what's happening.
What does your fix bring as added-value ? sorry for my ignorance here. And was it installed by the dealership ? Part number ? Thanks |

The only thing that was done were the rear trunk hydraulic struts on both sides were replaced. I just wanted to document so I would not forget that the trunk height where it would stay open is 15 inches.
In another 2-3 years when it starts closing on my head, I'll look back and see how things were when the struts were new - thus having a argument for a warranty upgrade again |
