Not a bad solution to save $$. Looks great in matte black!

lips have practical needs...on race cars, on street cars they are more for visual aesthetics

For street cars, it would help prevent some bumper scrapes. I've had my Z4 for less than 3 months and I already scraped the bottom front bumper, if I had this lip it might have prevent actual damage to the bumper. That is pretty much the only benefit outside of aesthetics I could think of though.

What is the part#? Did you get the 2in.x16ft ? Did you use any screws or just relying on the mighty 3M double side tape?

I know that I wanted to hear answer from the owner. Maybe he has a steep garage entry and every time he goes in-n-out he scratches the front bumper (I had this kind of problem). In this case its a really cool and affordable safety mod. But even for safety reasons i would put it in a way it wont be visible from the front. (hide it right under the bumper.)

If its considered to be aesthetic mod - its fail. You may install that on ford, VW, hyundai, kia, mazda, etc., and be genuinely happy about it, but not on a BMW of that level... it looks just as it costs - cheap IMO

Maybe in person its better, but judging by that picture color is not solid, it has different matte texture which does not suit any other part on this particular car.

Sorry if i hurt someones feelings - it was not my intention. Anyway tastes differ and it is just mine opinion.

I was thinking more of taking that HD lip and wrap it with a CF sheet... Not sure how this would end up, but worth trying and if it end up in the garbage bin, that would be a $30 wasted, which is totally OK...

i agree with you, it is a good bumper scrape prevention, but if u dont want it to stick out there is flat tape, i was considering that(i did scrape my bumper once too)
