What seats do you have?

How was the Z for a long drive: Seat comfort, leg room, etc. Did you have to get and stretch your legs a lot?
I have been on a 400 mile trip to WV. We may have stopped 2 or 3 times but still made good time and didn't feel tired at all. I also recently did the 9 day 1600 mile week with the car, 200-300 miles most days. Some hard driving too and had no problems or discomfort. That's with the M adjustable suspension, sport seats, and 19 inch wheels.

PS: I think the suspension is softer than an '06 650i. It tired me out after 200 miles.

I haven't actually got my Z4 yet, but as soon as I do, I want to go on couple long tours, starting with the PCH, and certainly wander up your way!

Although the Z4 is not exactly small, this will the first time in many years that I will depart from large, American cars. Even though I've dreamed of owning a TR6, MGB, Spitfire, or an Austin Healey since I was a kid, I'm older and 40 pounds heavier, so I've been a little apprehensive about getting one. People like richard in NC and yourself have helped in that regard because even after a few excellent Z4 test drives, my biggest challenge was a long day in the seat. I'm not worried about that anymore.

Please provide the name and number for your window tinting connection.

Thanks again guys for your help.

I would like to connect up there, maybe on a club day. That would top off a nice trip - the Bay area is so fantastic. I'll PM you ahead of time.

I can see a 35i DCT Deep Sea Blue in my sleep, but lately can't get AW out of my head, which I owe to you and a couple of others who have produced some dramatic photo displays for mess'n up my program.

Interior wise, I'm thinking about beige interior w/ ash wood, but to be honest won't know for sure until I get a good look at the dealer samples. The So Ca dealers haven't had any Beige interior Z4s. Photos of the Beige make it look a lot like Ivory White, and I'd prefer something darker like the Saddle Brown used on the X6, or better yet the X6M Cinnamon, but neither one of those is going to happen in the Z4. Who knows, I may end up with red or black.

I had saddle brown on my previous 650 convert and really liked that color. That would have been my 2nd choice if it were available on the Z4.

It's a Canon S5 IS. Not the greatest, but gets the job done.

It's clearly not the camera, but as noted excellent subject, nice settings, the subject framing and the processing that you did after the fact. Assumed you used Photoshop or something similar.

Ansle Adams spent a lot of time setting up his shots, but the real art took place in the dark room.

I needed the highest megapixel setting on the camera along with using the zoom and other cool features on it. Then manipulated the coloring/effects on my Macintosh. I like to make the "ordinary" look somewhat "extraordinary" whenever possible.

Besides, I have a few friends that are just not into white cars, so I had to show them that white cars can stand out and look elegant & sporty in the photos.

The beige interior in my E85 was darker than the beige interior in my E89. Neither, however, was something I would refer to as Saddle Brown. The dealer had an E89 with the Ivory White interior and, side by side, even the E89 beige is clearly darker than that.

Of course all of the leather is dyed, but over the years I have always gravitated to either black or some shade of brown for leather interiors when given a choice. For lack of a better label, there's something more "natural" about those colors. The red or blue or white choices always look striking on someone else's car, but I wonder what it would be like to live with it every day. (That said, I had a 1959 Triumph TR3 with a red interior with white piping and that was quite attractive.)

Chacun à son goût.

Cheers,
Danny
