Like the Black on White - had my eye on a Z3 years back with that same combination, but it was sold before I could get my hands on it. Went home with Gray on White.

Have had the RoadsterSolutions wind blocker on my E89 M Roadster for three years - best wind blocker available for a) visibility, b) good looks, and c) effectiveness. I prefer the roll hoop pieces removed - lets a little wind in, and two less pieces to clean.

Nice ride - good luck.

Does this wind deflector work in case you have the original deflector from BMW?

You would have to confirm with Roadster Solution but I do not see why not??? As I understand the BMW OEM piece, the roll hoop covers (silver) required have a couple of holes in them - the black pieces you see in my photos attach with really strong 3m type adhesive so installation is a breeze and it would cover the OEM mount holes. I bought this because we had one on our 2003 e60 and had nothing but praise + it looks really good, almost invisible, in our opinion.

yes, I have the plastic kit on it. It makes you feel much better about not having to constantly worry about paint chips all the time on dark colors..

Agreed - the gentleman that put the 3m film on my wife's car did a great job and it will pay off big over time with virtually no rock/stone/bug damage to the front of the car.

2nd day of ownership and a rock (or a winter tyre stud) from a car in front of me chipped my windscreen

The car is ridiculously beautiful. Photos simply can't do it justice. Easily one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. Would love to see a black one.

every time I open the door to the garage and look at it, it makes me smile. I always wanted a z8 and this comes very very close, and in some ways is even better. The best is the dct. Just think that thing is brilliant with all the different modes working with the sport modes.

Hi juhap, sorry tho hear that, should be easy to fix. There are film (foil) for the windscreen also.

I will transport my car and fix this Venture Shield before i drive it on the roads.

Dispite this, are you happy with your car?

Every time I see the car it makes me giggle like a little girl (hopefully not out loud). And opening the door makes me feel like I'm about to steal somebody's car, because surely this thing of beauty can't be mine. But when it comes to driving it there is one big problem I haven't been able to solve: how to see/hear the car from the outside at the same time. Maybe I'll hire a helicopter and a camera crew that can beam video to my iDrive while I'm driving. Of course the interior is gorgeous too. I'd happily marry either of the ladies who designed the car, no questions asked.

So yes, I'd say I'm relatively happy with the car

As for the windscreen, I've had it fixed at no expense since my insurance covered it. They weren't able to hide the damage completely, but I've always found scars on a woman strangely attractive.

Good to hear they fixed the windscreen, I bet you don't see the scar if you don't know it's there.

I'm also wandering around with a big smile on my face, and I still have to wait 7-10 days before I even get to see my new dark beauty. I can almost not belive it's only a matter of days before the marrige............

I really hope the streets will be free from salt and sand soon. There is hope.

When I ordered mine I thought it would be like everybody else's with black leather.

But here on zpost it's more pics of ivory and coral.

Aluminum is nice, that was my option just until 1 day before I had to finalize my order and I really doesn't know why I went for the Ash wood.

Alan, you have Venture-shield, don't you? Are you happy with it? Did you do everything, like doorhandles, fuelcap?

2 weeks to delivery Still a lot of snow so I'm getting a bit worried about that............
here is the shield on the hood that you can make out. Its there if you look at it,, but it is nice to know its on there protecting against the stone chips which look terrible on dark colors..

I am wondering, with the two hoops covered, does it makes a difference over 60 MPH?

Thanks alan64,

I have noticed that people doesn't see it until you tell them you have it.

And it's very nice to know that you have done what you can to minimize stonechips.

Welcome to the club

Had it fixed at the dealership. As for how they fixed it, check out this page:

http://www.autoglass.co.uk/Windscree...air.189.0.html

So basically some sort of resin that they harden with UV light.

Thanks for the info

I have joined another club also, got a nice chip on the chrome-ring on the frontgrill aswell. I better just look at the car in the garage instead of driving it. I never been so fuzzy about a car before.
