MTec Cree LED Angel Eyes

I installed these today....pretty happy. They are from Sonic Tuning, MTec 6W, 7000K, with 4 Cree LED's on each. Plug and play with a little ballast box on each side. A big improvement!

No. They look just the same. I'll try to take a pic if it stops raining!

How much and which one is it in their website? I was looking and couldn't find anything specific for the E89 and couldn't find "cree LED" either. Any links?

$224 from Sonic Tuning:

http://www.sonictuning.com/mtec-h8-b...eye-7000k.html

On the website, and on the packaging, E89 compatibility is claimed. I spoke directly with the Sonic Tuning guys, and they called MTec to verify that they are indeed compatible, just to reassure myself. It is plug and play, no codes, worked a charm.

I thought you said it would rival the Burger Tuning LEDs? The price on these are on par with LUX. Burger LEDs are only $130.

got any sunlight pics? For that price wouldn't LUX be a better alternative? I'm considering Alpine HIDs or the burger tuning.

I've never complained, but now I will

There is a HUGE fitment problem for the right bulb for LUX H8 LEDs. It just does not fit properly there, making the right angel eye look dimmer, as opposed to perfectly fitter left one. I'm not the only one with that problem here. Paying super high price for this LUX H8 amber light I would expect it to have a proper fitment.

MTECs were not that bright, but at least, they fitted as they should.
I'm sorry to hear this, but we have never heard of this before with 1 side fitting differently then another side. Out parts are designed 100% the same so they are identical. There could always be visitations in the way the bmw headlights are made since the parts are made from a mold, and each mold has different tolerances.

All you need are MTEC H8 35W, they cost $18 in the UK and they work just fine

These pics are without the main headlights on....

I go the MTecs too and really like it but hate it that it dims once the headlights are turned on. I do wish I could drive around at night with the just the halo rings on.

Yeah, it turns a bit yellowish and dims, I believe the headlights drains some power away from the halos.
