what the hell should I sell my Z4 for?!?

Hey guys. I need some help and I would really appreciate any input you have. I'm trying to figure out what I should sell my Z4 for. I have a guy who is interested in it down in Springfield, MO. He actually works at the car dealership that I contacted about buying a car from. He wants to buy it as is with all of the mods and I really don't know what to price it at. So I guess I'll give some details about it and maybe you can help me figure it out.

Not to be a Smart Ass but "as much as possible that the guy and or market will bear".
Start High as you can always negotiate down.
You can NEVER go up.

Hey OP,

Another member is selling a similar year 35is for ~$39k

http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1131174

If I was in your shoes, I'd start at $45k (price of comparable car + mods) and go from there.

Usually I don't think mods increase the value of a car (And when I shop I use them to decrease the value....), but in this case I think if you've found someone who likes the car as is and would modify a Z4 themselves anyway, they might consider it a deal to essentially get the labor for free

It's always tough to recoup money invested in modifications.
I know that because I own a Harley Davidson and that is how I have seen that work out.
Once a car is loaded up with performance mods, etc, then you have buyers who are concerned about who did the work, what is the effect on the warranty and whether or not you have been beating the crap outta it on the track…or worse.

NADA or bluebook prices still applies. The mods dont really mean a thing and no one will likely buy finance one over the NADA price.

Aw Tom,
Easily one of the best looking Z's I've seen on here...and I really wanted to see it in person.

What are you looking at to replace it? Better be smokin'!

So KBB or NADA value, take an average, for very good condition...and look to recoup 50-75% of the mods cost. If I was after your car as a buyer...I'd start at NADA and then work up from there. He probably already knows what he's willing to hit. You just have to find that level or close as possible.

I'm going to Nashville on monday to pick up a 550i M-sport. It's pretty awesome. Having said that, I will have all my mods for sale if you get the itch! I'll help you install some of them if you buy them.
