I can say that I'm not tall, more short than tall...
So I won't have problem with my feet. Basicly I'm interested for the design and the beauty of the seats...With what you said, and Patrice and JJ Wonderboy also, you make me feel better... Thnx!

My 2 cents:

I saw today two at South Motors BMW , Miami FL.

30i for test drive. Small (ugly) wheels, manual, pretty basic.

35i Auto w/Double clotch, Premium and Sport pkg (no Nav.) at the showroom and listen to this..... $60,000 tag price!!!

Saw one at my dealer yesterday....60K...no sport package but sport seats...that is strange. It is in the blue color...I really don't like the blue color. Black, Titanium Silver...both good choices for this car.

60K waaaaaaaaaaaay to much. Its a very nice looking car, but that price point is off. Fully loaded all bells and whistles for no more than 53K IMO. Many other cars out there for less money. Used Cayman came to mind really quick, as well as a Boxster S. You can get a real sweet bargain on anyone of those right now.

You traded sport seats for what? PDC? Isn't that for girls that can't drive a car?

very clever remark .. actually, all dealers here tell you to opt for it for resale (very important for me as change car every year), Am not fan of this park distance. apparently, all z4 sold so far had it, and actually, most zpost member have ordered it so obvious that actually that all z4 drivers are girls than cant drive a car. ..... otherwise we would not own hairdresser car nop , but must say still hesitating to spend 700 bucks on this bip bip system. you will see by the way that many women will actually purchase this z4, far more than previous model, as witnessed alraedy by dealers, and in general women are very keen on such options.

I guess I am just old fashioned. I would much rather spend the extra money on something I would enjoy...like sport seats or a stereo upgrade, than a PDC that really isn't going to do much for resale value at all. In fact, if you look at Kelly Blue Book, the bible for resale value in the US, it is never even a factor in calculating the resale value of a car.

sorry to differ, but KBB does list the option if I priced the '08 135i

Optional
Sport Pkg Parking Sensors Xenon Headlamps
Premium Pkg Premium Wheels BMW Assist
Navigation System Dual Power Seats
Bluetooth Wireless Cold Weather Pkg

all told a 08 with all the bells and whistles comes to (with 6800mls)
43860 or 43395 without sensors - retail
40160 or 39695 without sensors - private party

KBB is giving a value of 465 at retail and private party.

What doesn't jive is they only cost 350 USD, so I think they are pricing them as front and rear sensors vs just rear.

for me they add value in function, safety, and at resale

Saw the new Z4 30i and 35i at Passport this afternoon. Opted to drive a Black 30i with MT and Kansas Coral Red w/o sports package. Know what the N54 can do. This is a luxurious and pleasurable cruiser.

Exhaust sound similar on start up to N54 but not when driving. Steering does not feel quite as tight as my E92 and suspension softer than my 335 with ZSP even on sport setting. Focus is on luxury and comfort as opposed to sportiness. Good torque in 5th or 6th gear. You can feel it pull. Just not like an N54 but more than adequate. Silky smooth shifter and lots of fun running throught the gears.

Trunk space still very limited with the top down and would probably accomodate two 15"W x 28-30"L duffles with top up. Good head space for me at 5'11" and good driver ergonomics but my E92 has more comfortable driving position for my build. Forward visibility is good but rearview mirror did obstruct some forward viewing angles. Rear vision is adequate with top up.

Great looks and toy as a daily driver and day weekend cruiser and very nice with the top down. Not the car I would take for a weekend or week long distance trip as space is at a premium. Overall a fun car and focused on luxury rather than sportiness.

I wondered if I would prefer the Z4 30i over my E92 and got my answer. Now I have to drive the 35i to confirm my conclusion.

You are right. I stand corrected. They do list it as parking sensors. Well, to each their own. My view is that I wouldn't pay for it either on a new car or consider it as a value add if I were buying a car used. In fact, if it was always on and couldn't be disabled I would not even consider buying the car. But that is me. If others find it useful and desirable then I suppose that is their choice.
