Question Wiper blade question

The 2013 35i I just bought has an aero wiper blade only on the driver side. Is this correct or did the dealer use the wrong replacement blade on the passenger side?

My 2011 35i has regular old (non aero) style blades on both sides. I'm assuming this is correct since "free" maintenance includes replacing the wiper blade refills. Don't know if they made a change by 2013.

I do like the cleaner look of the aero style though and will probably switch to them once warranty is out.

Good to know as this car spent 7 months baking in th AZ sun and could probably use a set!

Bumping this as wish to know about the 'aero blade'...when I first got my car, the driver side had this 'rectangular thing' on the blade which I assume when the wind hits it the blade can press against the windshield more for a better wipe? Having the car for service every now and then I only realized that it disappeared and now have 2 'normal' blades w/ the rectangular thing. Wth...did the dealer 'steal' the thing (is it actually attached to the swinging arm of the car or the blade itself) or did they just replace w/ regular blades if the latter? If the 2nd possibility, why didn't they just replace w/ another one w/ the rectangular thing?

Btw, how effective is the rectangular thing vs a reg blade?

Aero on drives side plain on passenger is the norm.

That's what was done on my car on two consecutive occasions, although I'm not sure why they only use it on the driver's side. Ito does seem two work better than the non-aero blade on the passenger side.

Just so that we are all talking the same language here: An "Aero Blade" is the newer generation slim one piece blade that doesn't have the conventional bulky frame that a refill blade can slide into.

IMHO I believe E89s do not have aero blades. The driver side however does have a "spoiler" that holds the wiper arm tighter against the windshield. But this is just mounted onto a conventional frame that BMW slides a refill blade into during "free" maintenance.

The form of the Aero blade is a spoiler by itself. I changed all my cars to Aero blades. The just seem to wipe better. Important to me as we have ran abundance of rain here.
