Question Delete or keep 441 smokers package?

Hi All,
For those of you that don't smoke in your car,

When you ordered your Z4 did you remove or keep 441 smokers package?
I believe BMW includes it by default.

Would be interested in people's views on this.

Does anyone know what happens if you don't have 441 smokers package?
Do you get additional storage?
Thanks
Paul

I had it deleted, you get a open storage space where the ash tray went, also a 12V input in left side of the passengers footwell. I find the open storage space useful, wallet, phone and other bits and bobs from my pockets.

Hi John,
Many thanks for the feedback that's really helpful.
I think from what you have said Mum would do well to delete it.
Have a good day !
Cheers

It depends if you want the little extra storage space or the convenient lighter socket.

the lighter socket you still have (12 volt outlet - no lighter) located under the dash left hand side of the passenger seat.

Isn't there also another one under the arm rest? Seen it but never used it.

@bill123,
Indeed that's a good point and becuase its covered people can't see how much cash is in there!

@JohnT
Many thanks for the link that's really helpful!
Actually seeing that I think Mum might leave 441 in, although its less practical.
I think she will think it looks better with a cover .........

@Rolf-Dieter
Indeed everyone has been really helpful Mum has made the right choice in the Z4, great car and lovely fellow drivers ! :-) Zorro would indeed be proud!
Thanks again for all your input.
Will be sure to bring some pebbles when I visit Canada :-)

Yes but that one can't be reached from the drivers seat. It's a real pain to plug the V1 into there so I leave it plugged in all the time when on trips and stuck under the passenger seat when parked.
