Prochip Deal

Just saw on the prochip site that they're having a special this month for unlocking the dvd (while the car is motion), opening/closing the roof at +8km/hr & they're throwing in the retracting mirror (at lock) function.

Looks like a pretty good discount too.

Does this allow you to open and close the hardtop with a standard (non-CA) remote?

I don't believe so. I think you still need the CA functionality.

That was what I thought (hoped) as opening is the important part to me, closing with the remote would be nice but no big deal to me. My sDrive35is is on order with ALL options, except Automatic High Beam and CA.

I tried CA and decided that I liked the normal remote better (have it on my other BMW), as I didn't feel that it was that much more convenient to operate, you still have to touch the handle and wait for it to unlock. With the normal remote I can unlock as I walk towards the car, and driver and passenger door is unlocked when I get there. Besides I like to not have to deal with a battery
