About Tire Size

Hi Guys,

I have been doing a lot research and finally decided to replace my tires with Michelin PPS.

I have 326M 19" rims on my 2011 Z4 35is. what's the best setup for my car? Should I keep it OEM sizing?

Front 225/35/19
Rear 255/30/19

or

Front 235/35/19
Rear 265/30/19

I would appreciate any other options or suggestion

Thanks

That's my vote.

If you are willing to go to 18s (which is what I ended up doing), I think there are benefits from a bit less weight and cost

Nick, are those your sizes in 18"? What do you like about those sizes over stock?

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe next replacement I will get 18" rims but for for I just love the look of the 326 19".

What's the advantage with the Front 235/35/19 and Rear 265/30/19 compare to OEM sizing?

That's $20 each tires for price difference if I wanna get wider than OEM size. worth it?

Yes, I am using Front 235/40/18 and Rear 265/35/18

As I mentioned earlier, I wanted 18s due to the minor weight reduction from 19 to 18 (~5lb from wheels, ?? from tires), and the lower cost

I was also trying to solve for the wheel hop exiting bumpy corners that the stock 19 RFT had (but 19 non RFT probably would have solved it too)

Does the extra 10mm in width cause any rubbing on turning or if the suspension gets deeply compressed?

I haven't seen any evidence of rub on the sidewall or the fender liner (i have fully compressed the suspension going over the berms on corner exits) but my car has the stock sport package ride height

The dunlop ZII are actually more than 10mm wider than stock, despite the label on the sidewall. I'd recommend a test fit if the car they are going on is lowered
