2014 stock weird exhaust noise

Anyone find that they get this funny noise almost like a backfire rumbling at low rpm under 25 mph? Took it to the dealer and they claim this is normal and by design. Not sure I believe them since I had a 2011 and it didn't make these noises. Current car is a 35i msport 2014

Perhaps describe how to produce it? Accelerating, decelerating, normal or sport mode etc

Mine crackles and pops (DCT) when letting off the gas and decelerating. More so in sport mode.

My car also burbles and pops at low speed and when decelerating.

I notice it especially in sport+ and shifter in sport mode when the car shifts from 3 to 2 while decelerating. It's excellent.

Yup, totally normal and it is awesome. Even the wife (who isn't into cars) loves the exhaust burble.

I haven't noticed a difference in sound between the modes. But everyone says there is??? Is it just during deceleration?
