Servotronic, what's the benefit?

Hi Guys, I saw many of you ordered the Servotronic option.
What are the major benefits compared to the normal steering?
Is this a must have option in combination with the adaptive suspension option?

I believed that this was not an option.....and with the normal/sport/sport+ you can adjust its response,also....

I suggest to open a thread with standard options for every country.....
I just discovered that some market hasn't got the automatic a/c, light paket ,and other ancillary stuff....

It is standard. The major benefit is having steering that is far more sensitive when going very slow than when going very fast. At higher speeds the steering should be slower responding as a simple twitch could send you railing off the road. Many cars have a fixed steering ratio, but the BMW has a variable one...

I was under the impression Servotronic varies the steering weight, not the ratio. Lower speed - lighter weight, and vice versa. Active Steering varies the ratio.

The Servotronic ratio is fixed at 15.9:1.

I think fxhomie is right. I have ordered Servotronic too. I expect the steering will be lighter at low speed, e.g. parking.
