Software Upgrade & DCT

Don't know if i'm wrong....

....but, there was a post somewhere argumenting that a software update had killed the great "upshifting STUMP sound" on a 35i/is (DCT).

Is it true or i remember bad?

Yes, the software update I had a couple of weeks ago killed the blurp sound between shifts. It seems to shift faster now in sport mode so there is no time for the blurp sound anymore

I was talking about Manual Normal Mode. Now i have a clear "STUMP" only with this setting.

In Sport and Sport+ it almost disappears because the DCT shifts faster.

Did you lose the "STUMP" also in Normal Mode?

It does it only slightly in normal manual mode and not at all in sport. It's no where near as noticable as it was when I first got the car.

Thanks....

it seems that one of the goodies of the DCT will disappear next week... after my 15.000 km maintenance...

Per my experience in Jan of this year ~ yes.... but, with the mentioned mod and some time those nice sounds seem to be coming back.
