It's a great buy in that spec and very rewarding to drive. Roof down and that straight six on those mountain roads would be awesome but you will want the adaptive suspension. If you want an auto???? well DCT is the way ahead and you would need a 35i for that. I had a 23i auto and now a 35is DCT. The DCT is just brillant and the standard auto (as good as it is) wouldn't be as rewarding on mountain road bends as a DCT or a manual. |

hahah, that's cool, your kids must be fun to be with. Merry christmas.
now back to the subject, the 23i comes with the adaptive suspension. but automatic.

easy choice for me - go for the big motor and the DCT; I know the Z looks amazing and if it had the 3.0 I would take it, but the power gap with the 135 and DCT is too big (plus, once you have the DCT you can't go back)

Why don't you save a little more and get yourself the 135 cabrio.. In such, you will enjoy the DCT, the N55 (a pretty nice engine compare to the 2.3i) and an open top while driving on these beautiful mountain roads in Spring/Summer? The 2.3 is not a bad engine at all, but Lebanon Mountain roads are stiff, no camera tracks & Tend to scream for even more than a 306bhp ;-) |

I live in a small city, no freeway, so I don't need power or speed, I go for Z4
BTW series 1 is ugly with Z4 23i, you are faster then 90% of cars on the street go for Z4

Good point solidGold, even if the 1 series in my country is a rare sight, as rare as Z to be honest.
there's no doubt the Z is the sexiest car out there, ah, I have a very nice surprise for you Z owners; I can't say what it is right now but you'll all love it !

The brain says "Get the 135 and put a Dinan remap in it"
The heart says " Get the Z4, what are you waiting for?" That's why I have two Z4's....
