VIR- Thoughts/Experience?

Curious if any Z4 owners have done TrackDaze on the Virginia International Raceway? Thoughts, comments, advice for a newbie to taking it to the track? Thanks!

Perhaps my 35is not allowed? .... per this post.??........."Thanks for the track report. I want to get out, just haven't had the chance. Plus my favorite track, VIR, doesn't allow roadsters without full cages. I'll have to go to Roebling in GA or Kershaw, SC."

"Bad news, the Z4 is verboten at VIR. They just don't like roadsters, even with its hardtop and its roll bars. Although the PCA club grants an exception to the Boxter." here

I checked with the organizer of One Lap of America regarding a 2012 35i and he said VIR was ok with the car used on the track with the stock roll hoops as long as the hardtop was in place.

You should double check with the event organizer

I've had mine at Barber with PBOC and they would not let me take the top down but with Chin Motorsports they did... So some raceways don't allow and other promoters make a choice not to allow also. Sebring and NOLA Raceways both allowed me to ride with top down. Per a couple of websites both the raceways in Atlanta allows it! Good luck and hope to see out there.
