Displaying Texts LG Cookie

Hi all,
My wife had a old Sony Eric mobile, 510i, and it showed the texts ok. But now she has a cookie, LG500, and it does not display the texts, just wonder if anyone with this phone can see their texts.
Thanks
John

Sorry,
What I meant was: The Z4 does not display the texts on the idrive screen with the LG cookie.
You can read the texts on the idrive screen when using the SE 510i (much older phone)
Is any one using the cookie and able to read the texts off the idrive screen
Hope this makes it clearer of what I meant.
John

I think what John means is the text from contact list in the phone (with blue tooth)

the text messages are phone dependent. The LG probably has a different Bluetooth profile.

Can anyone read text messages from their iPhone 3G paired with the iDrive?

Yes it is done via bluethooth, what used to happen with the 510i was:
Go to phone menu, click on messages, first you see the messages you send yourself from google maps, then after about 1 min it refreshes and you see your texts from your mobile, you have to leave it on the messages screen otherwise it wont refresh.

Hmm... I'll have to check it out later.
