Dash Info area question
On the dash, just above where the odometer and trip meter appear, there is a number 5 or number 6 that sometimes appears. Is it some type of ECO reminder to shift?" I could not find a reference to these numbers in the manual.
Thanks,

Yes, eco-shift. These are (ridiculous) suggested gear changes. If you want to turn it off, hold the left 'BC' stalk button in for 3 seconds, but in order to do this, the screen must be at the 'blank' setting.

Thanks Dave,
My Kawasaki has something similar for "ECCO" riding. I can get it to light at 135MPH.
