I don't think DSB on Red is giving the Z4 it's right... I still think DSB on white is the way to go, if blue is your color...

I have DSB, Cream interior..........I wish I'd gone for the Grey with Red Leather.
My wife wanted the Grey....but somehow I managed to persuade her we should go for the DSB.
But there is so much going for the Grey.....classic colour, easy to keep clean. And the Red Leather too...far easier than white/cream.

So, yes...go with your initial feelings GREY/RED LEATHER
You will not regret it....the DBs..........

I'll have close to the same decision to make. We're really intrigued by the DSB (owned a blue Z3) and I think blue in general is a great BMW color (though funny enough, I don't care for it much on other makes/models).

I'm also a huge fan of red interiors, especially on "grey scale" colors: white, black, silver, grey, and all the named variants like titanium, graphite, etc.

It's too bad BMW doesn't offer a medium grey interior option, something that would be a little more grunge proof, but still break up the all black interior. I think it would also go great with the other silver touches on the 35is. Our X5 and T4R was/are dark metallic grey with with a medium-light grey interior and we really like it.

The red interior is so nice, I'm almost willing to get a color that works well with it, even if it means skipping blue

Garage List
I went with black sapphire on coral red. I think it's the sickest combo. I'll post pictures after I take delivery next week & get windows and lights tinted.

Space Grey is good. Even my car was not washed for 2 months, it still looked clean. Deep Sea Blue shows dirt easily.

I just ordered a DSB with CR. It is a very unique combo. You either like it or dont. BMWs look the best in blue. And CR is hot not to mention, hence I ordered that.

You may go with a safer choice of color (but we are not in the market for safer bets, if so, we would be ordering X5 or worse a Toyota minivan/sedan.

Also f you are planning on reselling it blue+red would be a hard one. I dont. I usually drive till they die.

I considered buying the DSB+CR at momentum BMW but that didnt have sport package. There was another one on the docs but that was already sold (perhaps special ordered).

Get the Alpine White with Coral Red interior!

White is very easy to keep clean.

I had a clear bra installed on the front cap, headlights, hood, rocker panels, a-pillars, side mirrors, panel at front of the rear tires and door cups.

Whatever color you get - you will simply love this car - it is a blast to drive! This is my fifth new BMW Z since 1998 and it is the best one yet!
I love it!

Darker colors look better right after wash day, but IMO white looks good all the time with little maintenance and spectacular with a deep polish. as for interiors, light looks great when clean, but hard to keep after. Whatever color you get, this car is a blast.

Did someone order that color combo and then the deal fell through? Because I can't imagine BMW would build that color combo. It is a very specific taste. Not many people will be drawn to that color combo.

I have Alpine White and live in the Pacific Northwest. I rains six-seven months a year and car looks dirty much of the year. It does little good to wash it during the winter months. Other car is a MINI in kind of a goldish metallic that looks good most of the time. Texas weather probably better than ours.

White is quite good. I haven't washed my car in ages and it looks dirty up close but from a distance there is still a shine/gloss to the paint.

Every car out there is white/silver/gray/black.... don't be lame and get DSB! You know it's good because it's the color of the car on the Z4post logo!
