That's really interesting

You can always change the house, but you cannot change the neighborhood.

There are times where it seems very appealing to use the money I used for my house to buy a real small condo in a really nice part of Orange County.

I'd rather be the thorn in a rose garden than the rose in a thorn garden.

I ended up just living in a middle of the road type of neighborhood surrounded by lots of palm trees. soothes me well enough and the schools are good enough for my kid(s) to learn

I tried to park my van on Wilshire but the cops kept making me move it.

I hated daycare when I was a kid. One of my few memories from the first 18 months of my life while in DC was being on the middle flight of stairs at the sitter's house, talking to the hole in my peepee, crying about my parents leaving me with this lady.

Jerk I passed on that, thought I would get roasted. Sack up your pecker and stop from having hells spawn in the first place.

Do you still talk to your pee hole? Probably mostly when it burns?

Tears right onto the hole seem to soothe the burn a bit

Do you personally cry on it or let the women you have in trunk do it?

People have been having kids they can't afford for a very long time and I expect they will continue to do so forever.

I make a decent living and still can't afford one after track tires and ammo. Someone should let my wife in on how much they REALLY cost.

Your Children are your Legacy... Period. End of discussion.
No matter the cost, they are worth it. The joy, growth, nurturing and memories I have as a Dad, are immeasurable. Initially when we had our first son (now 10) he went to daycare for @ a year when he turned 2. My wife stayed home the first 3 months and then his Grandmother came and took care of him in home until he was @ 2. He never got sick until he went to Daycare. The sad thing is, many parents are careless and don't do the right thing by "staying home with their children when they are sick/ill". Then they send them to daycare or school, and infect all the other kids.
I agree that the cost of Daycare can be expensive. But, my bigger issue is that often times "greed and improper care" is what you pay for: Babies require more 1on1 care and are simply put, fragile. Even when we did use daycare, it was in a Home setting and the lady and her sister cared for @ 6 kids. Anything beyond that, we didn't feel comfortable with. Too many distractions and people are human, mistakes can and do happen. Fortunately other than getting sick, our experience was fine. Our 2nd son was cared for in our home by family until pre-school.
But I can not express into words nor can I even imagine life without my beautiful baby boys. They are now 8 & 10, which is unbelievable it happens so FAST.
Cherish your Blessings! Because that is what children are. Millions can not conceive at all...

I know this is true, I just came at it from a responsible angle, but come to think of it, that was my first mistake.

I guess in theory the only people not having kids are people that spend the time to properly prepare and think about those kinds of things. The poor population will continue to explode regardless of cost while the middle class and upper middle class will reproduce less due to the potential consequences. The rich will go unchanged but that's a very small percentage of the population. Over all will it continue to widen the gap between rich and poor?

And if this trend continues, just think, we could end up with a real life:
