Ordered a week ago. ED confirmed today!

placed an order for a 35is last week. the approval came in time for locking up the existing great rate. we will see if BMW keeps this crazy rate in July but i'm happy camper now.

my plan is to pick up the car around Sept 15. visit the museum & spend the weekend in Munich or nearby cities. then drive straight to Frankfurt for the autoshow. looks like we will have lots planning to do starting from now. very excited!

Alpine White with Black loaded. this is gonna be wife's car for the next 2 years. hopefully she'll be happy with an early birthday present! only problem that i'm worry now, is the Z4 really can't fit lots stuff in the trunk, especially in terms of luggage. looks like we will have to pack light this time.

Congrats man, you will have the time of your life, did this last year arrived 9/17. You know this is Oktoberfest time right? Do you have your hotel yet? If not get on it but be prepared for sticker shock. They are 3-4 times the normal rates in and around Munich. booked ours 9 months in advance and it was still 300 a night.

Was it packed?? It was amazing, the whole city comes alive festivals and parades everywhere. But nothing beats being in a tent on the fair grounds, great beer, everyone singing and dancing to the drinking songs, everyone is friendly. Honestly didn't know one could have that much fun with beer legally.

But u may have a hard time finding a hotel at this point

Packing Advice:

We did ED in August 2009 and it was awesome - just take several pieces of luggage to your dealer and rearrange it all in the trunk until you see what fits best. Then pack only those bags for Europe. We did that with the roof partition down so we could tour top down and luggage stowed.

Or buy a set of Roadster bags as we did for our ED and all future road trips to come. You'll never have to wonder if you (she) over packed and if the top will go down.

Humm, I had no idea you can lease and do ED. This changes everything!!!

What options did you get and if you don't mind asking, lease price? You can PM me.. I'm actually 'outside' the states currently, but the lease deals are awesome! Would be a nice 25yr retirement ....hummm

Was at the Frankfurt auto show 2007 - SO much fun.. miss Germany!

Can wait to hear stories.. and details on the specs...
