Why cant we have a Valet mode?

I've had some issues with the Valet service I use at the airport recently.

Started to make me think I shoudl have a valet mode that I can select on my car.
They dont need 250kW and I would want to ensure they can drop the roof down or go faster than 60kph.

ANyone hear of a plug in module or programming upload through the OBD plug to add such an option to the iDrive menu?

Maybe I could ask the ProChip guys who did my roof, dvdfree and mirror closing on lock.
I think it would need more data though as it woudl need a switchable engine tune.

Any ideas?

However, I use valet on Toyota Camry

On my Camaro I just dissconnected the second ports...........I love carburettors !

When I used to use a valet service at the airport, I would note the mileage - and made sure they saw me do so. No joyriding allowed!

The excellent valet service (indoor heated/cooled parking) has closed, and I refuse to let their knucle-dragging competitors to touch the Z. I park it myself.

Occasionally, I don't have a choice but to valet. At least it's at restaurants and they tend to make sure there are no issues -- don't want to have the other patrons see the valet people having fun with customer's cars!

I'll tell you a funny but true story about restaurant valets.

There used to be a fancy, expensive French restaurant in Boston called Maison Robert (well worth the cost I might add!)

One day in the 90's their patrons left their BMWs, Porches and assorted Mercedes with the valet guys.

When they came out, the valet guys -and the cars- were nowhere to be found. So the car owners asked the restaurant manager who, dumbfounded, replied: "but we've never had valet service here!"

I hate Valet Service in fact I detest it, never use it. If I had to take my car to the airport in the past I parked it at a Park & Fly (you get to park your car and lock it), then a small bus drops you at the airport.

Most of the time my car stayed securely at home and I took the train or taxi.

While I don't like the valet driving it, I live in morbid fear of 20 different people parking next to me and opening their doors into my car or reversing into me or simply keying it while I'm traveling.
At least with valet they take responsibility for damage and the public can't access their car parking area.
