high beam garage door opener

I haven't taken delivery of my 35i yet but I was wiring another car with a flash to pass garage door opener and was wondering if anyone has done that with the e89 yet so I can be prepared.

It needs to be connected to the ground and high beam positive but from what I read an different forums, it's trickier on cars with the bi-xenon lights.

Anyone know what color the wires are or a link to a schematic for the headlight harness?

Wouldn't it be easier to program your home link buttons?

opted not to buy a 2000$ garage door opener. That's the only thing out of the premium package that I was interested in.

I would be very careful messing with the wiring. Mess it up and you will likely void your warranty. You are correct in that the bi-xenon setups can be tricky.
