Only on the right side when backing up but the adjustment button must be on the other mirror.

The passenger side does so you can see curbs easily for parallel parking

There was another thread where we were discussing this. I find it stupid BMW doesn't also program the logic to have the driver's side mirror tilt down too like other car manufacturers already do. My wife's same model year Acura as my BMW does both sides.

And before those that say open your driver's door, roll down your window, or why would you ever need something like this here are my answers:

1) Can't crack my door open and move the car much at the same time with my DCT because the trans will be forced into Park automatically.
2) What do you do when it's pouring rain?
3) I have quite a few one way streets in my area which has parking on both sides of the street and I also like to park at end spots in parking lots which many times have curbing. Having the mirror dip feature on only the passenger side limits the ease of parking to a set number of spaces.

It should be an option in iDrive kinda like you can select whether to unlock only the drivers side or all doors when using comfort access to open your door. Tilt only passenger side or both sides should be a similar selection.

no you should be able to put both mirrors down. this has been extensively discussed on other threads. your car came wrong from the factory if both mirrors dont go down see your bmw sa immediately and best to see a lemon lawyer.

Very funny. Never had a BMW where both mirrors go down.

I have three BMWs (MYs 2014, 2015 and 2017) and only the passenger side mirror tilts down on all three. It is either intended to function this way or I am extremely unlucky.

Well some of you guys don't understand sarcasm...there's literally been a hundred threads on this. Like I know the mods are made chill here but makes the forum a mess to read. Soon enough there will be threads on

Will a tune void my warranty?
What that scraping noise from the back of my car???!!!!
Whats the difference between full and extended leather?

These topics have beat to hell out of and answers are in the manual, even their is a digital one to search.
PS. the celica is my daily because i work in the hood. so i only do take my nice car to the gym. but dont know why i would be on this fourm with an AMG
