Retrofit OEM PDC - Possible?

Hey,

I'm looking to get into a BMW Z4 and I was wondering if it was possible to retrofit the PDC (Parking Distance) system? Most of the cars I've seen either have the M-Suspension and no PDC, or have PDC and no M-Suspension... I want them both

Since my budget would only allow an 09-10 MY, I'm going to be putting on the M-Sport bumpers myself, so I'll be getting new bumpers regardless. Would adding PDC just be a matter of getting the module, the sensors, and getting it programmed (with Navi)? Also, does anyone know if the car is pre-wired for PDC, or would I need to do a lot of re-wiring. I know PDC is an official BMW retrofit for other cars, but haven't seen it for the e89 yet.

, Thanks!

It's an official retrofit option for the E89 too so there should be wiring.

Oh really? Do you have a link or the work-order form for the retrofit?

I tried looking up online but couldn't find it. Would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I've found solutions like this http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...ntrol-retrofit that uses OEM BMW parts, but I'm looking for something like this http://www.kneb.net/bmw/E46/Park%20d...20retrofit.pdf

Best to ask your dealer as its likely them that will have to do it...

I asked this of my local downtown dealer and i would prefer to get a cheaper 35i (best deal i found so far is $37K for a MY2009 35i) if i can have all premium options installed with the total cost of the car, they said no. From what i hear, they have to first install iDrive, program it for PDC, install PDC. I can imagine what the total cost would amount to. I'd rather take it to my trusted bmw indy shop if it means i would save a significant amount on labour cost.
