I haven't done this, my 35is came with an ///M bumper. I just wanted to let you know that I lost my tow-hook cover (the little plastic piece that pops off) and I have been waiting 5 weeks for a replacement part for it. Apparently the ///M version of the tow hook cover is so special it has to be shipped from Germany!

Op take a look here at this thread below. The Real OEM link for part numbers for a full swap to M-sport front bumper. I would ask your dealer a quote on the 8 pieces below. Factor in paint/install too. Thread http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=616593 Real OEM ( pieces 1-8) http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_8056 Good Luck |

At the risk of adding another "ridiculously useless post" to this thread, don't overlook the fact that the M-sport front end does not have fog lights. I found this kind of curious when I bought mine used and downright frustrating when I was on a socked in mountain road for the first time the other night!

Not complaining, I just wanted to let him know what he's getting into. Replacement parts are not readily available and may be even more difficult in the future. I'm very happy with my version. |

Nice. Sorry, OT! OP: If you are not sure about what parts to buy or want to save some hassle of ordering multiple parts but are willing to pay more, you can buy it as a kit here: http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Contains everything for PnP conversion. |

Our E89 hood is so long that I don't think we can see anything the fog beams can provide.
I find the Automatic High Beams the most useful. Question to our European E89 owner. Is the inner two headlight used for "flash-to-pass" function in Europe? That would explain why US spec cars are have those dummy headlights.

Glad for this thread. I'm switching from a reg bumper to a M one and think that only the BMW emblem and the 2 kidney grilles are interchangeable? Can someone please confirm (I assume if the part #s are different, then they are different parts?)?
Here are my links to the parts page: http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showpost...01&postcount=8 |
