Right, got to be diligent when driving nice cars but for the most part, it's very safe in this part of the world now.

I'm using 18" on the Z4 in the standard 225/40R18 - 255/35R18. The 2.6/2.9 bar is 38/42 psi and is on the high side so am wondering if higher pressure can improve traction?

I do have the PSS 19" on another car but it has adaptive magnetic shocks and awd so I don't loose traction on them. Maybe it's the 18" size or the Cobb tune giving too much torque?

It's related to rwd and having a bit of torque. Take the Cobb away and you won't be blinking the traction control light on acceleration

Put a M Factory LSD in 2 weeks ago. Have not fully evaluated as the car is put away for the remainder of winter. I'm running Cobb stage 1+ with summer run flats (385WHP 429 Ft Lb.). The difference was night and day in sub zero temperatures.

I did actually uninstall the Cobb Stage 1 after my transmission oil kerfuffle but as soon as the transmission was sorted, I had to flash back the Cobb tune.

Even with the most conservative Stage 1 (LT Drive), the difference is significant. The car just didn't feel right without the extra 60hp.

Bob, the MFactory Helical LSD (MF-TRS-05E92D) for the Z4 DCT sounds interesting indeed. Did you need to rebuild your "pumpkin" and do a core exchange of the original Diff + Ring & Pinion?

Was the LSD a direct fitment with no further modification on our Z4 DCT? Please let us know how it drives once you take it out of winter storage. Cheers. Howie

Thanks Bob. Appreciate the detailed info. Looks like a needed mod to do with a Stage 2 tune.
Looking forward to your feedback when the weather warms up. Cheers! Howie

Howie,
I did a complete pumpkin swap.
I've been following M factory since the summer and asked about a prebuilt pumpkin. Stephen was great to work with. He stated that he could build a pumpkin and if I sent my pumpkin back there would be a $500 refund. I questioned case size and style, he assured me the part number he quoted was correct. I have 6 spd manual 3.08 gear ratio.

Loving those "Concept rims". For the life of me I can't find them online. Does anyone have a link or more info?

Some updated photos. Added a carbon fiber spoiler and replaced all emblems. Otherwise enjoying the car as is. Cheers.
