is this a race or a sport Eisenmann

as title says, the video doesn't state which one but it seems to not be as loud as all the other eisenmann vids on youtube. Still sounds good to me though

All the videos on the Eisenmann web Site are Race Systems...

http://www.eisenmann-sportauspuff.de...s/2_BMW/BMW_Z4

I have the Street System on my 30i, and having heard both versions they sound pretty much the same, only a slight variance in sound volume [and in Germany - only the street version is legal on the road].

I think it is the sport system. This particular car belongs to forum member BigTom, you might want to contact him.

Nevertheless I am under the impression that Eisenmann stopped offering dual options a while ago, you can only get one version which should be the formerly called ''sport''.

BigTom has the street version, not the Race version. He got his just before I got mine as he live close to the Eisenmann workshop, and his car was used to build the prototype. Took 4 weeks...

I've wanted to switch to eisenmann but have a heard that the race version, whereas it sounds great when your mashing the throttle, has a lot of drone under normal street driving, and that would bother me. I've always wondered how different the sport version sounds from stock, but no one has ever posted a comparo video. Does anyone have personal experience with that?

Having gone from the stock system to the Eisenmann System, they are not too different BUT both systems have a bit of drone on the highway and the Eisenmann system is a bit louder but does pop nicely on downshifts and trailing throttle [not excessively], and performance was improved a bit. I did not record any difference in mileage though. Following the Eisenmann installation, the addition of a set of 313 wheels, H & R Sway Bars and Springs, I had a friend up at the Ring tune both the engine and suspension and he was able to get 285HP out of the motor with no loss in mileage as opposed to about 270 out of the cars with the stock system. I do not find the drone objectionable but i think my morning and evening commute is a bit faster than yours [long stretch on the way to work with no speed limit], and I do bi-weekly trips up to the Ring [2 hours] and am not bothered.

Thanks Chuck, but you didn't state if you have sport or race exhaust, and you garage only says you have the quad tips.

I have the "Sport" system, the "Race" system is not legal on German road cars as it exceeds 95db
