Engine rattle around 2100-2400rpm
seems i getting this metal raspy sounds around 2100-2400 rpm. seems to happen only in that range most noticeable when doing 55-60.

Could be any number of things. Can you reproduce it when stood still? If so get someone to rev the car while you take a listen around.
Could be wastegate rattle, exhaust, heat shields and quite literally anything else. |

I just heard a small metal rattle when at lower speed in the same RPM range. I put the car in the garage and tried to replicate the sound by using the echo inside the garage while rev-ing it a bit. I found the heat shield around the exhaust system was the issue.

If it is waste gate rattle, I read on the E90 threads that the "fix" is to reflash the computer to use less boost / keep the wastegate open slightly to make the rattle go away.
Proceed with caution and make sure that you are crystal clear on the "fix" before you authorize work.... |
