I am a huge fan of these wheels, however, I'm not a fan of the way you had the finish done. And the size, IMO, is too large for this car. If they were 19's and finished in brushed/painted silver, black or gunmetal, they'd look great. Not my car, so to each their own.

Agree... unfortunately there were no other options (CV3) than 9" for the front wheels... and 9" CV3 is flat...

Rear 10.5” has a nice concave face…

From April 2012, Vossen started the production of 20"x10" CV3's... but 10" is really tooooooo much on the front

Fantastic wheel design and black/w machined face goes perfectly with your Z4 javol

I'm looking to pick up a set of these Vossen CV3 for my Z4 and was wondering if it's possible to fit these staggered set up?

FRONT: 20x10 Vossen VVSCV3 CV3 (without spacers?)

REAR: 20x10.5 Vossen VVSCV3 CV3 (same as your fitment)

You mentioned that your front 20x9 Vossen didn't have much of a concave but will the 20x10 be more concave and if so, were you not able to fit them? Rubbing issues?

I would consider 19" as well if there is less risk of rubbing while getting a more concave look on the front wheels.

Thanks!

Like it but would be better with 19s. 20s, not just these but others I have seen make the Z4 look like a clown car. Meaning just really big shoes that looks out of proportion. Can only imagine how much harsher the ride is on 20s vs 19s too. Love the tips though, too bad not bolt on though

I was thinking more like a concept car look vs. clown car but I understand what you mean though, hence the rim design is crucial at the 20" size. If the spokes are too thick, too many or close together, it might look clownish.

But these Vossen has that minimalist design and only 5 spokes so the Z4 seems to pull it off great just like in the photos. Really digging that concave design but wish the front was more concave like the rear.

I'm also hoping the adjustable KW V3 coilovers will help with the ride harshness of the 20" but am considering the 19" as well. How's the ride on the 20"?

20x10 on front of the Z4 E89 would stick out too much: I have 9 mm of inner space with my set up, the above mentioned 20x9 et 35 + 5 mm spacers = 20x9 et 30. A 20x10 wheel is 25.4 mm wider than a 20x9 and the result, in order to avoid the inner rubbing with the coilover, would be 25.4 - 8 = + 17.4 mm on the set up shown in the pics: clearly exaggerated.

Thanks for the info javol.

Do you know if the 19" front will have a deeper concave to match the rear 19" concave? I don't mind going a size down if I can get the front and back concave to match up.

As I have to order mine sight unseen, I won't be able to check the front 19" concave before figment. Thanks again for you help.

Unfortunately there is no way to have a deep concave face on the front, nor in 20" and 19".

4 deep concave wheels all around would be fantastic for me too, but Vossen intentionally differentiates the face of the front wheels to mark the difference with the rear ones. Most of the people like it.

I have been searching different brands too, but the results are similar: Stance 5-ive, Vertini Monaco, Niche Apex, Incurve ic-s5, etc... A lot of "Vossen CV3 style" wheels with the same "problem": the front ones are FLAT .

Possibly (not sure), the only way to get 4 concave wheels with the right width and offset for the Z4 is to go "custom forged".
For example, ADV.1 makes gorgeous custom forged 5 spoke wheels, but they cost around 1500 US$ EACH (!)... + shipping + tires...

Thanks for the additional info javol. The wheel set up is still fantastic looking even with the flatter front. The custom rims seems too costly so I'll go with the Vossen as well but do 19" because our roads are not too good.

Just saw your new Z4 side profile photos with the upgraded brakes. Looks good in the yellow as the BMW Performance Brakes

I've read that the rear electronics parking function is lost with after market brakes so did you manage to overcome this problem? Can you still engage the factory parking brakes?

Thanks again!

When stopped, the car is firm and does not roll if in "P": the "P" position of the DCT keeps the car away from movements independently of the hand brake.

The e-brake lost could be a problem in driving emergencies... Anyway, I have been driving around for 26 years and never used the hand brake in such a kind of situations...
