Best Antenna

I've read a bunch of the feedback on replacing the OEM Antenna with a stubby but there are so many to choose from. What has worked out well for you ?

OEM 9"
Stubby flexible 4"
Stubby Carbon fiber 4"
Stubby Carbon fiber 1.4"

Others?

My last one was a Stubby 4" carbon fiber. But i just replaced it with a smaller 3" carbon fiber. At first i thought i was getting static from it but realized i was on the fringe of the radio station area. Even the 3" antenna is working good for me. very low profile.

I have the oem stubby. It is very noticeably poor in reception sensitivity and frequency response. The stereo also works much better with the standard oem 14" antennae.

I have the OEM stubby as well. I used the standard length antenna for a number of months before making the switch and unlike Zyal8r, in my location there was no discernable difference in reception or frequency response (although I never did instrumented tests before and after).

This is the one that was most popularly used a few years back, which I had on my car.

It seems like the seller no longer sells it... but you can send him a message to see if he can get it for you. From personal experience, a much lower profile than the original and BMW OEM one (which is still pretty long) and no problem whatsoever with any interception or signal/reception lost. Also if I'm not mistaken is an OEM Citroen part, just happens to have the same base size as the E89, so quality is there.
