Roundel question - Trunk + Side

Looking to change out all my roundels and getting the black/white color scheme ones. The center caps are simple, as is the hood (same as every BMW). Is it possible to switch out the ones on the side (next to the blinker) and more importantly, the trunk one, as it actually serves a function?

If so, what "style" roundel (in terms of the rear) would I be looking for. If I have to use overlays, might just keep them as is.

I was thinking about the same thing regarding the trunk roundel. I went with decals as it was far simpler, but longevity is def in question.

Yeah, I looked carefully at the trunk roundel and I think it's a thin covering that's glued on to the latch. I can't imagine it would be easy finding an after market roundel that would fit. I'm sticking with the CF decals - it's too easy.

Looks like overlays would have to be my only option then...

Jparnes - How are the decals in terms of aesthetics? Can you tell they are stickers or do they look like it came that way (CF in your case).

Appearance is excellent. You have to be careful with the placement so that they cover the blue quite evenly, but if you do they look great. I'll try to post a pic tmow to show you. Important - I got them from bimmian.com and they make no distinction for different models of cars. They set of decals I received covered everything but I didn't have enough of the right size to do the 4th wheel. I called and they were nice enough to send me another set. Very pleased with the look. I got the glossy carbon fiber decal.

I've replaced all the roundels on our Z4 with carbon/silver roundels.

The boot roundel is the most difficult one, as you need to carefully remove the factory roundel from the latch.

Here's a picture of the new roundel fitted

I have some pictures of the steps required, I'll see if I can get some time over the weekend to put together a short write up.

I went with Black CF overlays. Repast, inexpensive, replaceable, reversible, looks great

Here are some pics of my hood, side and trunk roundels and my wheel overlays in black CF.
I am missing the steering wheel CF overlays- Anyone know where to get these in the small size?

Looks good! Might just be what I will be doing then instead of actually replacing them all.

CF or Matte Black on Atacama Yellow? Have Matte Black wheels...

What happened to your old center caps? They look awfully beat up.

Like I said I ordered the set from bimmian.com but you can't just get the steering wheel size. You need to get the whole set. I don't know but maybe there's another vendor out there. Where did you get yours?

I got my kit at www.metrostyling.com
They have all vinyl products. My kit covered all 4 wheels, hood, side and trunk roundels, but did not include the steering wheel Roundel.
I have extra CF vinyl and will just make my own.

My old center caps were original for the 1st owner and the outer edges deteriorated under the clear cover.

I looked at the website and it says they include steering wheel decals, but they don't talk about providing for the side roundels on the front fender.

Looking to swap out the roundel on my trunk lid. Assume any 82mm trunk roundel will work on an '09?

Timely thread. I'm looking to swap out the roundels with custom painted ones from Luftkraft Fabrication.

How sure are we that the trunk roundel is stuck to the trunk latch with adhesive? I had the inner liner off this weekend to investigate and unbolting the trunk latch from the inside is going to be a major PITA because the space is too tight to get a socket in there with a torx bit. Being able to peel the roundel off from the outside would be a big help.

Also, any confirmation whether the roundels on the sides of the car pop out like the one on the hood?
