Finally got some tints!
I've had the car for about 6 weeks now and I finally had a chance to get it tinted.
Took me long enough Pictures are absolutely horrible, but hey at least I took them lol Before: After: Ironically, it was really see through when it wasn't tinted, but you can't tell that in the pictures due to the sun lol and in the pictures, with the tint, it looks pretty dark at some angles... when it's really not dark I got 50% Ceramic tint all around with 60% on the windshield. Previous Z4 was 30% all around, 60% windshield. I loved it during the day, but at night, when combined with the auto-diming mirrors, it got too dark/unsafe. So I decided to go a little lighter this time around Here is the previous Z4: Before tint: After Tint:

That looks nice.
I have not done tinting (Texas 100 degree) cause I can't find a good looking tint for Alpine white. Can you please post a bit more pictures? Some with top down? What brand and type of tint do you use? Really nice! |

I don't question him will take better pics eventually...

That looks sharp, I'm looking for a new tint shop after the previous place scuffed up the interior on my previous car while doing the hard-to-reach places. I would imagine the rear window would require a delicate touch with the lack of space in the Z.
Did they put any felt in the windows, or are you doing without? My Lexus doesn't scratch the tint sans felt, but my E90 didn't take long to mess it up. I had that re-tinted and got some tint protector moleskin. |

never had any felt on any of my windows that I've had tinted in the last 6 years
I think for the rear they opened the top? Not sure. they've done these cars before so i don't think it was an issue i drop my car off in the morning and pick up in the evening so I'm not there to watch them

female legs - hardly. anyway, the 50% looks great and ceramic was the right choice. we too have ceramic tint and it makes a huge difference in heat "blocking."

Yeah my main goal was to reduce the heat and also glare at night (windshield tint really helps) since I have sensitive eyes

I kind wish I had gotten it darker lol
Mainly cause going from my m3 to the z4 is a little weird now since the lighting inside is different lol
