Run in with Audi S4

Had an Audi S4 come up beside me and tromp the throttle on the highway today (maybe because we each had rival college plates on our vehicles...hehe). I couldn't resist so I returned the gesture and off we went . I had him by a couple of car lengths when I realized that we were traveling at more than twice the legal speed limit. I abruptly let off as I had visions of explaining to a trooper why I had accidentally been going that fast...

It was fun for a few seconds though ...

Glad you had fun but backed off for the safety of all (and your Ohio Z4). I had a highly modified Charger come up beside me not long ago and when they saw I was female they waved their hand in a "forget it" gesture. I so wanted to step on it but at 40 something it seemed pointless.

When I bought I had no plans on taking it out to a track. But a friend took me to what some call high performance driving event. It's so controlled. You wave to pass and only on straights. I'm hooked. I find myself running with Porsches, Lambos, corvettes and more. Best thing no speeding tickets!

I had fun with a Carrera 4S one night. Driving through the hills overtaking and chasing. Played for about 15 kilometres. Signed off with a wave when we split to head in different directions. Makes the commumte sooo much fun.

ok im only taking hypothetically but a TTRS came up to me a few weeks back, i still had my 335, he tried me at the lights, 1st gear side by side, 2nd i was half a car in front and by third i was 2-3 car lengths in front.... corners approached so i backed off fast!! felt good..... maybe it was just a pleasant day dream!!!

which year S4?

i had a brief moment with 2011 S4 and kind off rolled by, didnt get a chance to do a good run since a driver was a real sore loser

Really guys, some old lady (pelase noone take offence) is going roll in front of you one day or you turn a corner and there is a cop and you pay fine and up the insurance. Go to http://www.nasaproracing.com/ or http://www.chinmotorsports.com/ or google "high performance driving events" for your local schools. My buddies drive a Mini Cooper GP and 370Z and we go about 4 times a year and have a blast. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of excitement without the worry of “bad” drivers and speeding tickets. Our cars do well there but you will get passed, but will pass others. You’ll find it has as much to do with the skill of the driver than the HP. Our torque though allows us to come out of the corners well.

Wasn't a race. We just had fun. At no point did he have anything that left me behind, and its fair to say, he kept up with me as well.
I'd say the cars were very even on power and acceleration, but his handled better and mine was more practical and much better looking. (Oh, and half the price!)
