A search for Z4M would reveal this thread:

Doesn't sound like it's happening. Too bad they couldn't swipe the E92 M3's suspension, rear differential, and manual transmission like BMW did for the 1M. They did the engine, but skimped on the suspension.

Don't know about the suspension... love mine..... the only thing I hate about it is the run flat tires... after ESS tuning got done with my car... I am running 0-60 in the 3.8 range..... that was faster than my R8.... at 1/2 the price.. and I get a drop top.

I heard Dinan and ESS tuning can tune the car up to almost 400hp. Getting an after market suspension like KW v3 Coilovers, rear differential, and ditch the RFTs, you may have yourself a close to M car quality.

Z4 35is feels much better than my 135i. More planted, less body roll. Lovely to drive. Much faster too with the DCT. A recent test showed how competitive it was around a track vs the 1M -I was actually suprised considering how good the 1M is. IF they fitted the same tires to the 35is as the 1M had or similar non-RFT the gap would draw nearer.
Now if they managed to fit the M3 V8 into a road-going version....that would make one car with a LOT of character! |

I have not driven them all back to back on the same circuit but I'd probably pick a Z4 35is over the 1M, but unfortunately an M3 Competition Pack over the Z4 (for pure handling and the V8).
