Is that a new, replacement remote you're talking about? It may work, try and see. Your old remote may not have certain frequency to work with Homelink.
Engine must be running to program or even to operate a successfully programmed button. Change your remote's battery. Weak battery, even when it opens your door, may not send the signal strong enough to the mirror. Push the Homelink buttons harder. Just thinking out loud. Have you tried the dealer yet? You can always get a new garage door opener I used my garage door opener everyday for the past 15 years and had to replace them twice due to worn parts that simply did not have replacements for them. |

I would guess it should work with any recent opener, condo or otherwise. It might also work with gates, light systems, etc if they support the protocol.
Do this with the car running and close to the garage door: 1. On the mirror, hold buttons 1 & 3 down simultaneously for 20 seconds until you see a fast blinking light, to reinitialize it. 2. Hold the remote within 1-2 cm from the mirror, press and hold button 1 and press and hold the remote button. You should get a blinking light n 5 seconds or so. Now the homelink button is programmed. Try seeing if it opens the door. 3. If not, now press the "learning" button on the openers control unit. Within 20 seconds, run to the car and press button 1. It should now be matched to the opener. Try opening the door with it now.
