200+? I assume that's Km/h
I ran my 35i at the track all day at speeds in excess of 200 Km/h and the fuel lid stayed closed. Sounds like a latch adjustment the dealer can fix. |

Only thing I can think of is someone bumped into your car and pressed it. But since it was locked nothing happened the when you got in you unlocked and popped open the lid and you didn't realize for a while, and you thought that it happened suddenly.

I had this issue in 2 occasions (9 months period).
But it was after a fill up. I was sure the door was closed; otherwise I would have noticed it when I walked back to the car after paying the fuel. Only driving 3 kms was enough to get it opened. I guess there is a way to close it, but not completely in a way mechanical shocks can unlock it. EdP |

maybe it has to do with a full tank and speed, maybe some pressure from inside the tank is causing this?? ill keep an eye on it next time i fill my car |

for me, about 1 out of 3 times it will stop around 3/4 full as well. for most cars, you can "hear" as a fuel tank is getting full. if the nozzle cuts off before you hear it, you can put the fuel in slowly until you do hear it.
