BMW Warranty Liabilities
With the experience I had with BMW refusing to do anything about the salt corrosion on my car (previous thread), they kept on saying that it was due to corrosive wheel cleaning chemicals, well has led me to think about what will there attitude be into the future to other areas of the car.......
Many of us buy NON BMW supplied cleaning products for example covering all areas, wheels, seats, trim etc.. I was reading the thread on the guys problem with the Alcantra cleaning products..... With my experience I believe that if you have an issue and you cannot prove that you have used BMW products to keep the car in good condition, then BMW could probably have cause to refuse to do a warranty repair????? I now use BMW wheel cleaning products (and others), have to say it is very good, but at a price, so they cannot accuse me of using inferior or damaging chemicals..... I also happen to know that Sonus is the original manufacturer of there branded products...... |

I am sorry and I can assure you that I feel your pain - they claimed that my Stett FMIC and Eisenmann exhaust were the reason the hp fuel pump failed - this was exactly two weeks before the fuel pump recall was issued.
