It sounds ghetto, but it works! A third alternative is to just get white/clear P24W incandescent bulbs.
While your first method described sounds like a viable solution, but you did mention reduced light output and the halogens aren't that bright to begin with.

I looked to get white/clear P24W bulbs before buying the LEDs but couldn't find them... know where I can buy them from, either in-store or online is ok with me.

I'm lost on this halogen talk... the indicators are not halogen, they're normal bulbs. The halos are halogen, but that's a different thread...

Normal bulbs/filament bulbs are halogen bulbs.

The halos are "normal bulbs" therefore are halogens as well.

I take that back then because I had no idea halogen was in the smaller bulbs!

I retract my statement as well then because I am not positive on that.

Technically, "normal" bulbs - incandescent bulbs, and halogen bulbs are different. However, since they both use a filament, is generally used interchangeably in layman's talk. That is why I said they were the same to not produce confusion. Technically though like you said, the difference is that halogen uses halogen gas while incandescent uses argon (inert noble gas).

I can't tell you if the blinkers (P24W bulbs specifically) use halogen or argon (halogen or incandescent bulb) but frankly...they're used so interchangeably I wouldn't be surprised if some people will sell them labeled as halogen and other as incandescent. With that said though, small bulbs with halogen do exist. Hope that clarified more than it confused
Off-topic though.

I also don't know where to get clear bulbs. I just searched for about 15 minutes online and came up with no results.

I even tried eBay and the sorts, nothing. Only reason I ordered LEDs.

They're waiting for me at home, so when I get out of work and get a chance to install them, will report back to see if they flicker from cold-check (most likely will, but we can always hope)

I too have looked into stealth bulbs - Couldn't find them available in our P24W bulb type. Do you have a link? After I try out my LEDs today and if they flicker, I will most likely go that route
I was looking at the Solaris bulbs on bimmian.com. Looking now I see that they are listed for the e89, but I don't see p24w, just p21w and some others listed just by numbers. Sorry for the mislead.

Received the bulbs today. They looked very well built, and the seller upgraded to the 50W for me free of charge! (presumably because they were out of stock on the 30W ones).

Unfortunately, I put them in, waited for 2 minutes, saw them flicker, took them out, re-packaged them, and about to initiate a return. That's unfortunate.

I guess I will order a OEM filament bulb and use it until I can find an alternative "stealth bulb."

Anyone tried these:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/mobile/Product.aspx?id=1561
They claim no hyperflashing?

Apparently you have to code it out, I have not found a single one with reliable experience reports

These are the amber bulbs I got: 380680625661. Enter this number in the search bar on eBay and you'll see the bulbs and the seller.

Hyper flashing is different from flickering.

Hyper flashing is when the lights flash really fast when you turn the signals on.

Flickering is when the system does a check (for burnt bulb) every 3 minutes by sending transient electricity to the bulb. The duration is so short that incandescent bulbs do not light up, but since LEDs light up almost instantaneously, will "flicker" every 3 minute. There is no way to avoid this (all LEDs flicker - even if they advertise they don't. Sit in front of the car with the engine on and you will notice they flicker every approximately 2.5-3 minute.) The only way to avoid this is coding.

Enough research and purchasing "non-error/flickering" bulbs, I have returned them all and am using OEM halogens.

Interesting. I'll check tomorrow. But really, I can't see the "hyper flashing" while I drive, so I won't care.
