Service required: Oil change
My 2013 z4 only has 15,900 miles on it. Says it's time for an oil change. Meaning it's TIME for an oil change (per iDrive notification) as opposed to driving too many miles
While under CPO warranty, it does not cover normal wear-and-tear and not under extended warranty (if I'm saying that correctly) so it's $100 at the dealership. I can easily change the oil myself, I have some motor oil and drip pan on the ready. I can do it tonight. Question is: just because it's TIME to change the oil, do I really need to change it asap? Last I checked, and I'm not exactly sure, it said 3,200 miles remaining. Not sure if 3,200 refers to miles before mileage has been met.

Your iDrive maintenance display is condition-based. If you drive hard for example, you'll be notified to change your oil sooner than the normal 15k miles interval. Time is only a factor if it's been a year since your last oil change, but iDrive won't prompt you based on time.
Take care of your car and change your oil. It's not a big deal and you're due
