Thumbs up Time For a New Phone: LG Unleashes the "V10"

I have been beyond happy and impressed with my LG G3 and although I have wanted to jump on the G4, I decided to be more patient than my typical "new phone every year" scenario. I had read some time ago that LG was working on a "Flagship Device" and it was very difficult to find any info on whether it was a Tablet or Phone. It has been revealed Today and boy is it phenomenal...

That looks like a great phone. I like the idea of the second screen. LG builds some good stuff.

i'd like to see the second screen in action and effect on battery.
LG phones to me are top notch but that rear button is just wonky to me

Initially, it took a lil getting used to, But it works VERY well. I feel LG are "innovators" with this.

Did you g3 g4 guys ever get dead zones on the screen?

Wife and I both had the g2 for a while. We loved using it while it worked but the dead zones and constant repairs steered us far away from lg.

Never! I've had the G3 since it's release and it has been flawless even after a couple of drops, screen is perfect!

I had the nexus 4 and 5 from lg and loved them both, never had an issue with either. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another lg phone.

I don't see me cancelling my nexus 6p order for this, but I change phones so often I might end up with the v10 at some point as well.

So the "Second Screen" is basically another ribbon-style LCD screen, that is set where the typical "notification bar" is on a normal phone? Nifty...

It seems like it would be more to replace a dock at the bottom of the screen than to replace the status bar. You could probably put apps and contacts on it.

I really like how LG is incorporating "protection" built into the device. I have a very low-profile one now from Supcase. But I like my phone to be as svelte as possible!
Having padding on the edges and this nice textured backplate is a win.

ive got the LG G4, 1st LG phone ive owned, and I've got to say, I like it much more than my wifes S6.

If this newer one is an upgrade, I'll be all over it. Just hope it isnt much bigger than the G4.

Very intertesting. Been a long standing admirer of LG electronics, Have a G3, had G2 and previous models as well. Have not had the best experience with my G3 performance wise but being in IT I run a lot of custom stuff unique to my employer which could affect it. Wonder if Verizon will get it and whether EDGE customers can upgrade for $100 fee, if so I'll take a stab at it.

That's crazy man. Everyone knows you have to put a case on a phone, or else it'll explode... Work issues us iPhone's, and I catch all kinds of crap about it.

Them: "What?! You don't have a case on your phone?"

Me: "You mean you don't have a case on your car keys? But what if you dropped them!

Anyway, I can't wait to ditch this iPhone. Does this V10 come with gorilla glass like many of the Motorola phones?

LG = Best camera. Awesome display.

Hope they got it right this time. G4 didn't really succeed.
