Tire Pressure Monitoring System Malfunction? All 4 Tires Low

I have a 2011 Z4 35i with about 4,100 miles and when I got into it last night a message popped up on the iDrive notifying me of low tire pressure. Having the crack-prone 19" 296 rims with run flats I was immediately worried, but when I pulled up the screen that shows the tire pressure in each tire I saw that it was displaying a low reading for *all 4 tires* (wheels highlighted in yellow).

I couldn't accurately check the tire pressures at the time but I did a quick visual inspection and they all looked fine to me so I was thinking that perhaps this has something to do with the outside temperature being a lot colder last night than it has been. The car resides in Miami where highs have been near 80-degrees recently but when I turned the car on last night the temperature was in the low-to-mid 40's.

I'm going to check the tire pressures today but I wanted to know if anybody had a similar experience with all 4 sensors displaying a low reading because of the cold. How concerned should I be about this?

As the temperature drops your tire pressure does too. You have to add more air to get you back in spec. Most folks don't realize this and run with very low air pressure in the winter - not good for the tires or gas mileage.

You lose 1 psi for every 10 degree drop in temperature

Garage List
1) a visual inspection on runflat tires isn't worth much. The sidewall is so stiff they could be almost flat and look "normal".

2) check the pressure with a gauge, and once pressure is set correctly, reset the TPMS.
